Tell Congress: Tax Cuts for the Middle Class Will Help Create Jobs!

It’s decision time in Washington.  Congress has an opportunity to create jobs by investing in working families who are doing their part to get the economy back on track.  But Congress needs to hear from you!

Tell your members of Congress:  Tax cuts for low- and middle-income workers will help create jobs!

Working families spend money putting food on the table, paying the rent, and getting to work.  All of this drives economic growth and creates more jobs.  That’s why it’s critical that Congress preserves tax cuts for the middle class and tax credits that reward work and help keep families out of poverty.

If Congress fails to act, tax rates for the middle class will rise starting January 1, 2011, and critical improvements to the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC) will end, dealing another unnecessary blow to working families, including millions of Latinos.  This would be detrimental to economic recovery and to job creation.

Urge Congress to create jobs by standing up for middle class working families!

With just a few weeks left in the 111th Congress, time is running out to make decisions that will affect workers and the economy for months and years to come.  Tell Congress what you expect of it today!

Upon taking action, NCLR will send you updates on this and other important campaigns by email.
