Father and Son with American Flags Today, eight senators from both political parties joined to release a set of principles for immigration reform. We are analyzing the details, but the principles from Senators Bennet (D–CO), Durbin (D–IL), Flake (R–AZ), Graham (R–SC), McCain (R–AZ), Menendez (D–NJ), Rubio (R–FL), and Schumer (D–NY) include a pathway to citizenship for 11 million aspiring citizens.

This is the first step in the fight for immigration reform. Make no mistake—it is no coincidence that this begins now. It’s happening because 12 million Latinos turned out to vote in November and played a pivotal role in the outcome of the election. Both parties understand the power of your vote. And now it’s our responsibility to demand that they provide a commonsense solution to fix our immigration system.
