Tell Director Cordray to Protect Consumers

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is expected to introduce a new rule which would curb predatory payday lending practices that have trapped many Latino families in a cycle of debt. NCLR believes the best way to protect our community from predatory lending is to issue a strong rule that, first and foremost, requires payday lenders to assess a borrower’s ability to repay a loan before the loan is issued. Unfortunately, the CFPB continues to delay the introduction of these much-needed changes.

Join us in calling on the CFPB director Richard Cordray to swiftly issue a strong payday lending rule.
